Pricing

Fixed price, in writing, up front.

You get a number before anything starts, and it doesn't move unless you change what you asked for. If I've misjudged it, that's my problem, not your invoice.

Every job gets its own number.

No two trades need the same website, so I don't pretend a price list is honest. Tell me what you do and where, and you'll have a fixed price in writing within a day — including if the honest answer is that you don't need me.

In every job, whatever it costs

The bits that aren't negotiable.

  • 01

    You own it

The domain and the site are registered to you, not to me. If you want to leave, you take it with you and I'll help you move it.

  • 02

    No monthly rent

A domain is about £12 a year. Hosting for a site this size is free, in your name. If someone's charging you £40 a month for five pages, that's rent.

  • 03

    Fixed, in writing

The price is agreed before I start. It only changes if you ask for something that wasn't in the scope — and then you'll get a new number first.

Straight answers

The money questions.

Why is this more than the bloke down the pub charges?

Sometimes it isn't. But a cheap site is usually one page from a template, no local SEO, and hosted on someone else's account so you're renting it forever. If that's genuinely all you need, take it — I'd rather tell you that than sell you something you don't need.

Do you take a deposit?

Half up front, half when it goes live. If you're not happy at the halfway point, you don't pay the second half and you owe me nothing further.

What if I need changes later?

Small text and photo changes, just message me — I don't invoice for ten minutes. Anything substantial gets quoted like any other job, before I do it.

Are there ongoing costs?

The domain, about £12 a year, paid by you to the registrar. That's genuinely it unless you ask for ongoing SEO work, which is optional and separate.

Tell me what you do and where.

That's genuinely enough to start. I'll come back with a price and a straight answer about whether it's worth doing.
