The short version
The only personal information this site receives is what you type into the contact form, and that is used for exactly one thing: replying to you. Your enquiry is stored so it can't be lost in transit, and deleted when it's no longer live. Visitor numbers are counted anonymously; anything that would set a cookie asks you first, and works fine if you say no.
What's collected
When you submit the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, trade, town, and whatever you write in the message box. Nothing else.
The server briefly records your IP address in memory to rate-limit the form against spam. It isn't written to disk and isn't retained.
If the email fails to send, your name and contact details — butnot what you wrote in the message box — are written to the hosting platform's server logs, so the enquiry isn't simply lost and we can get back to you. That only happens when something has gone wrong, and those logs are deleted on the platform's normal retention schedule. The alternative would be your message disappearing with nobody knowing you'd written.
What it's used for
Replying to your enquiry. That's the only purpose. You will not be added to a mailing list, and your details will not be sold, shared, or passed to anyone else.
Where it goes
Your enquiry is delivered by email using Resend (resend.com), and arrives in a Zoho Mail inbox. Both are processors acting on Zaraar Digital's instructions. The site itself is hosted on Vercel, and protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Your enquiry is also saved to a database hosted by Supabase, before the email is sent. That exists for one reason: an email that fails to send would otherwise mean you had got in touch and there was no record of it anywhere, so nobody would know to reply. It is not used for marketing, it is not shared, and nothing is built on top of it.
Enquiries are kept for 12 months and then deleted. If you'd rather yours went sooner, ask and it will be removed — from the database and the inbox both.
Cookies and visitor numbers
Two different things, on deliberately different terms.
Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on every visit. It counts page views and roughly where visitors came from. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and doesn't build a profile or follow you to other sites — so it isn't something you need to consent to, and there's nothing to switch off.
Google Analytics only loads if you say yes to the banner. It does set cookies, and it does send data to Google. If you say no, it is never loaded at all — not loaded-but-disabled, not loaded. You can change your mind any time using the “Cookie choice” link in the footer.
Saying no costs you nothing and changes nothing about the site. It only means I see fewer details about which pages are working.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] and it will be actioned. In practice this means deleting an email thread, so it is quick.
If you are unhappy with how a request is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
